We’re talking about Books That Make You Relive Past Lives – Or At Least Imagine Past Lives
Inspiration for fiction comes from a lot of different places. Sometimes it is from real-life experiences, sometimes from history, from childhood memories, from dreams, or maybe even from a past life.
Our guest today is NJ Simmonds. She was inspired to write her trilogy because of a series of recurring flashbacks. One was of being drowned for witchcraft, another of being a young woman in a Roman village.
Because she found the concept of reincarnation fascinating, it became the basis of her adventurous, romantic, feminist fantasy trilogy that includes “The Path Keeper”, “Son of Secrets”, and “Children of Shadows”.
She also writes Manga comics and is one half of the paranormal romance author duo Caedis Knight. Her stories are magical, historical and full of complex women, page-turning twists and plenty of romance. When Natali’s not writing, she lectures on storytelling in business. Originally from London, she now lives with her family in the Netherlands and Spain.
