Curl Up with A Fun, Fast-Paced Mystery. Donalee Moulton Brings Us Hung Out to Die

Books That Make You Curl Up With a Fun, Fast-Paced Mystery

Nothing beats a book that makes you want to pour a cup of something warm and cozy up by a rainy window while the fireplace crackles. And that’s what author Donalee Moulton delivers in her mystery novel, Hung Out to Die.

The story follows Riel, raised in Santa Barbara, California but transplanted to Nova Scotia, where he is CEO of the Canadian Cannabis Corporation. It’s business as usual— until Riel finds his world hanging by a thread. Actually, several threads. A killer is at work, and it doesn’t take the police long to determine all is not as it appears … and that includes Riel himself, now pulled into a world not of his making.

Donalee is a professional writer and freelance journalist based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her byline has appeared in more than 100 publications, including The National Post, Chatelaine, Maclean’s, The Lawyers Weekly, and Canadian Business.

Hung Out To Die was published in March 2023. In addition, Donalee is the author of The Thong Principle: Saying What You Mean and Meaning What You Say, as well as the co-author of Celebrity Court Cases: Trials of the Rich and Famous. Her short story Swan Song was one of 21 selected for publication in Cold Canadian Crime, an anthology published by the Crime Writers of Canada.
